Geoff Eigenman is a Filipino actor notable for his performances in television, he is a member of the Eigenmann showbiz clan, He started out with GMA7 as part of their drama series and later was part of ABS-CBN's Star Magic and starred in their shows. After his contract has expired, he later moved back to GMA7 and was chosen by GMA Network to replace JC De Vera[1] in a role for the late-night drama anthology, SRO Cinema Serye (first known as Obra).
Geoff Eigenmann got what is probably the biggest break in his life when the GMA 7 offered him to this project that most actors who's going to be. Also, he thankful to once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that they gave to him.
According to Geoff Eigenmann, when GMA 7 asked him how he secured the role of Rosalinda's Fernando Jose. He came to GMA, then his manager, Perry Lansigan, wanted him to have a meeting with GMA executive Tita Lilybeth Rasonable – and then, they told him that he was going to be Fernando Jose.
But, considering that he is a more seasoned actor than his co-star, Carla Abellana, is this mean that he did not feel any pressure in this project?
“Yeah, there is,” according to Geoff. “Because it is her first time doing a show. Even though the guesting before, she never experience. So this is going to be her first acting job ever. So for me off course, I’m also nervous, this is my very first big, big project with GMA7. I’m sure that they’re expecting something from me". Because of a strong character as Fernando Jose, that’s the way he feel pressure.
Geoff said they’re preparing their each character – starting from their acting workshops to watching the original episodes of Rosalinda. They gave the copies to the cast of the show – 80 episodes total, halfway there. He studded his role seriously. Also he’s doing so many preparations like: piano lessons, because Fernando Jose is a musician-lawyer and doing workshops with Carla Abellana to know each other.
